Vaalkannadi Textiles Private Limited

Our place is called Vaalkannadi Textiles and we are located in Alappuzha. The address is door number 1/248 at Naduvila Veedu. We are pretty close to Madhavan Mukku, which is the landmark most people use to find us in the Vandanam area. It’s a bit of a traditional setup, being near the house like that. We deal with all sorts of fabrics and textiles. Alappuzha is a beautiful place to work, even if it gets very rainy during the monsoon and the roads get a bit muddy. We spend a lot of time sorting through cloth and making sure everything is folded right. Sometimes people stop by just because they saw the sign near the road or heard about us from a neighbor. We aren't a big corporation, just a local textile business trying to make a living. The rooms are filled with the smell of new fabric and maybe a little bit of dust. We have some shelves stacked high with rolls of different materials. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We don’t have a lot of fancy computers or systems; we mostly keep track of things on paper or just by memory. It’s a busy life, especially during the festival seasons when everyone wants new clothes. We just keep our heads down and keep working. If you’re ever near Madhavan Mukku, you’ll probably see our sign and hear the sounds of work from inside.
