Pulickattil The Handicraft Shop

You can find us at Shop No 17 inside the Municipal Library Shopping Complex in Thathampally. It is a small place but we have a lot of items packed into the space. We have been here for quite a while now and the locals know where to find us. The shopping complex is usually pretty quiet unless there is an event at the library next door. We spend most of our time sorting through the different handicrafts we have in stock. It is not the most glamorous job but we enjoy the work and the people we meet. Sometimes the shelves get a bit dusty and we have to spend the whole morning cleaning things up. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just open the shop every morning and wait for customers to come by. It is a simple way to make a living. We know most of the other shop owners in the complex and we often chat over tea in the afternoons. The handicrafts come from various places and we just display them as they arrive. We don't really use a computer for much besides the basic stuff. Most of our records are still kept in paper ledgers. It feels more natural that way to us. We are just a small shop in Thathampally trying to do a decent job every single day.
