Down here in the Aleppey district, specifically in Pallipad, life moves at its own pace. Our office is based at Puthiyakoickal Kalathil in Naduvattom. It’s a local place where we handle life insurance for people in the Haripad area. We don’t have a big glass building or a fleet of cars. It’s just a small office where we keep track of policies and help people file their claims. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors or people from nearby villages. We speak the local language and understand what life is like around here. Dealing with insurance is mostly about trust and making sure the details are right on the forms. We spend a lot of time double-checking names and dates. It’s quiet work, but it’s important. Sometimes we have to explain the same thing a few times to make sure everything is clear, and that’s fine. We aren't in a rush. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, but we have some fans going and we get through the day's tasks. We don’t use any of those fancy marketing slogans you see on TV. We just tell people how it is and help them with their paperwork. It’s a simple business run by local people who care about doing a good job for their community. That’s how we’ve always done it.
