Matha Mission Hospital

Matha Mission Hospital is right there on the Main Road. It’s a very visible spot, so we get a lot of people just dropping in because they saw the sign while driving past. Being on the Main Road means there’s a constant drone of buses and cars outside, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. The building is a solid, no-nonsense structure that has been part of the landscape for quite a while. We have a big front door that stays open most of the day to let the air circulate, although it brings in some dust from the road. The waiting area has long rows of plastic chairs that have been moved around so many times they’ve left marks on the floor. Our staff is usually running back and forth between the different wards, as being on the main road means we get a lot of walk-in cases. It’s a busy atmosphere where there isn’t much time for idle talk, but we still know many of the regular patients. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the necessary signs and a few old clocks that don’t always show the same time. The water dispenser is near the entrance, and it’s probably the most popular spot in the building. It’s a very functional place where we prioritize getting things done over looking polished. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes through the door from the road. Every day is busy.
