Kerala Tour Holidays

We have our small office at 8/453 in Punnamada, which is a place most people know for the big boat races. Living and working at Kerala Tour Holidays means we are always surrounded by the water and the tourists who come to see the backwaters. It is a very different pace of life here compared to the big cities. Most of our days are spent talking to boat owners or checking on hotel bookings for people coming from far away. We started this because we live here and we know the area better than anyone else does. It isn't a fancy setup with a big reception desk. It’s mostly just us with our notebooks and phones, making sure the houseboats are ready and the drivers know where to pick people up. The humidity can be tough sometimes, and during the monsoon, things slow down quite a bit, but that is just part of living in Alleppey. We see people from all over the world, and it is interesting to hear their stories while we help them figure out where to eat or which canal is the quietest to visit. We don't have a big staff, so if you call, you are usually talking to the same person who will meet you later at the jetty. It is a simple life and we enjoy being out here near the water, even when the mosquitoes are biting.
