Edanadu Nidhi Limited

If you are in Chengannur, you might have seen us right across from Mary Matha Church. The building is called Sreerangam, and the door number is X1/477(1) in the Keezhcherimel area. It’s a nice part of Alappuzha, though the rain can be a bit much sometimes. The office isn't very large, just enough space for us to sit and talk to the people who come in. We’ve got a few chairs for visitors and a big table where we keep the registers. Most of the people who walk in are locals from the district. They know us by name, and we know them. It makes the work feel a bit more personal, I suppose. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations. There’s a calendar on the wall and some plants that someone brought in last year. Sometimes the church bells ring while we are working, which is a nice sound to have in the background. Dealing with a Nidhi means there is always counting to do and forms to check. We try to keep it organized, even if the folders get a bit messy on busy days. Alappuzha is a beautiful place to live and work, even with the humidity. We just stay here in Edanadu and do what needs doing. It’s a regular office for regular people. Nothing complicated about it. We’re usually there from morning until the sun goes down.
