Chitra Hospital

Chitra Hospital is located in the Cheravally area. It’s not one of those massive city hospitals with hundreds of beds. We are a smaller place tucked into the neighborhood. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in some spots, but we keep it as clean as we can. The hallways are narrow, and you can always hear the sound of the staff moving around or the muffled voices from the patient rooms. Cheravally is a quiet enough place, but the hospital stays busy around the clock. We have a few nurses who have been here since they were young. My day usually involves checking on the supplies and making sure the records are where they should be. We deal with all sorts of things, from minor injuries to people coming in because they’ve been feeling poorly for a week. The front entrance has a small porch where people sometimes sit to get some air. We don’t have fancy cafeteria food, just what people bring from home or the small shops nearby. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running, especially when things get hectic in the middle of the night or during the monsoon season. But we’ve got a good rhythm going. It’s just how things are here in this part of Cheravally. We’re just here doing the work every day, seeing to whoever walks through the front doors.
