Cheryl Traders

Being located right at Berned Junction on the National Highway 47 makes things interesting. We see a lot of trucks and cars passing through Kalaboor every single day. Cheryl Traders has been at this spot for quite some time now. It’s a convenient place for a trading business because the transport is right there. The building is right on the edge of the road, so it gets pretty noisy with the horns and engines. We deal with various goods, mostly things that need to be moved across the district. Inside, it’s mostly storage and a small area where we handle the accounts. It’s not a polished showroom or anything like that. We have some grease on our hands sometimes and the floors aren't always spotless. That’s just the nature of working near a highway junction. We get people stopping by who are just passing through, and also the locals who know we have what they need. It’s a bit dusty, and the sun hits the front of the shop hard in the afternoons. We keep a cooler for water for anyone who stops in. We don't have a big corporate strategy or a fancy marketing department. We just look at what’s coming in and what’s going out. It’s practical work. Kalaboor is a growing place, and being at this junction means we’re right in the middle of all the movement. It’s a simple, hardworking life here.
