Cheriyan Foundation

Cheriyan Foundation operates out of Thalavelil House over in Keerikkad West. It is a quiet spot in the Pathiyoor area of Alappuzha. We have been here for a bit now, just handling things from our office in the house. It's not one of those big glass buildings you see in the city. Instead, it’s a home-based setup where we can focus on the local needs of the community. Alappuzha 690508 is where we receive our mail and where most of our planning happens. Some of the neighbors know us, and we try to keep things simple and direct. There isn't a lot of fuss here. We spend our mornings going through whatever came in the previous day and then we just get to work. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually start early. The foundation is just a small group of us trying to make sense of the work that needs to be done. We don't use big words or fancy titles because that just gets in the way of the actual tasks. If you ever find yourself in Keerikkad West, you might see us around. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the people and the roads well. It’s just a regular local operation, trying to stay useful without making a big scene about it. That is how we like to keep things.
