Carmel Engineering

Our shop is at No. 9, right near the Aravukad Sreedevi Temple in Punnapra. You can usually hear the temple bells from where we sit. It’s a decent spot to work, even if the rain gets a bit heavy sometimes and we have to watch the doorway to keep the water out. We have been doing engineering work here for a long time. The workshop is filled with the usual stuff like lathe machines, piles of scrap, and some heavy benches that have seen better days. It isn't a showroom, it’s a place where we get our hands dirty every day. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and making sure everything fits like it should. Usually, someone is making tea or talking about the local news while the machines are cooling down. We don't go for any of those modern management styles or big meetings. We just show up, look at the jobs we have for the day, and get to it. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit. It’s a very local feel here in the Aravukad Temple area. We’ve stayed in this same building because it works for us. The space is a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials arriving, but we manage to move things around to make space. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a local engineering outfit trying to keep things running and the customers satisfied without any unnecessary drama or fancy talk. It’s just how we do things.
