If you take the Karthikappally Road in Nangiarkulangara, you’ll find us at number 11. It’s a pretty green area, and the air feels different here than it does in the city. Our store is a bit of a local landmark for people living nearby. We sell a little bit of everything—household goods, some snacks, and the usual kitchen supplies. The building is older, and the wooden door has a bit of a creak when you open it. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open to catch the breeze, which also lets in a few flies sometimes, but that’s just nature. We spend a lot of our time dusting the jars and making sure the packets are lined up straight. It’s peaceful work most of the time. We get a lot of school kids stopping by in the afternoon for something sweet. We don’t have a website or any of that modern stuff; we just rely on people knowing we’re here. Sometimes we run out of things because we didn't order enough, but we just write it down for the next trip to the wholesaler. It’s a simple business. We like the rhythm of the days here in Nangiarkulangara. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it’s a good one, and we’re happy to be the ones behind the counter at Bhagya Stores, day in and day out, for whoever needs us.
