Aaliba Karak India Private Limited

Our company, Aaliba Karak India Private Limited, is run out of Darul Aman House in Thuravoor. We are down in Alappuzha, Kerala. It’s a very different vibe than the big cities. The house is where we handle all our business. Making karak tea is a slow process and we don’t like to rush it. We spend a lot of time standing around the stove, waiting for the milk to boil and the tea leaves to steep just right. The air in Thuravoor is usually quite humid, especially being in Alappuzha, so we are used to the heat in the kitchen. Darul Aman House is a quiet place for the most part, except for when we are grinding the spices for the tea. We don't have a storefront or a big office building. It’s just a house where we work. We have a few rooms set aside for the supplies and the packing. Sometimes we sit on the porch during our breaks to get a bit of a breeze. People in the village know what we do, but we don't really go out of our way to talk about it. We just focus on the tea and the daily routine of keeping the house clean and the orders moving. It’s a simple life and the work is steady. We’ve been here for a while and don't plan on changing much.
