Shree Ram Steel

Our place, Shree Ram Steel, is located in Roor No. 9 over in Manar. It is quite close to the KK School, so every afternoon we hear the bells ringing and the kids shouting as they head home. It is a small space, but it serves us well for what we do. We have some heavy racks for the steel and a small desk where we handle all the billing. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. The neighborhood is fairly quiet otherwise. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most people find us by asking around or knowing the school landmark. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and the afternoons are usually for deliveries. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when a big shipment comes in, but we manage to move things around. The floor is concrete and we do not have any fancy carpets. It is a place for work, not for showing off. We like being in Manar because it is easy for the trucks to get in and out compared to the center of town. We just keep to ourselves and make sure the steel gets to where it needs to go. It is a straightforward way to make a living and we have been doing it like this for years. We just try to be honest and get the work finished by the end of the day.
