Our shop is located at Shop No. 6, right across from Manik Talkies on Lakagubj Road. It is a pretty easy spot to find because of the cinema. Vidarbha Pipes And Fittings is basically a long room stacked floor to ceiling with PVC pipes, metal joints, and all kinds of valves. It can be a bit of a maze inside if you don't know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of our time climbing ladders to pull down specific fittings for customers. The road outside is usually quite crowded, especially when a movie is letting out. We get a lot of local plumbers and contractors coming in looking for parts for their projects. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights and displays. It’s more of a functional space where things are piled up according to size and type. Sometimes we have to move twenty pipes just to get to the one at the bottom of the stack. We keep a ledger on the counter and try to keep track of what goes out. The staff here knows their way around a plumbing kit, even if we aren't wearing uniforms. We’ve been on Lakagubj Road for a good bit now. It’s a simple business. We open up early, sweep the front, and start helping whoever walks in. There’s always someone needing a specific elbow joint or a length of pipe to fix a leak.
