Our business is based out of House Number 33 in Lasanapur, which is a small village near Murtizapur in the Akola district. The post office for our area is in Kinkhed. It’s a very quiet and rural part of Maharashtra. We make snacks and other food products right here in the house. It’s a family-run thing, so there is no big corporate structure or fancy offices. We have a dedicated area for cooking and another for packing the snacks into bags. Because we are in a village, we don't have the same facilities as big city factories. We have to deal with things like power cuts and long trips to the main town for supplies. The weather in Akola is famously hot, so we usually start our work very early in the morning before it gets unbearable. We don't have a marketing team or any salespeople. Most of our customers find out about us through friends or people in the neighboring villages. We use local ingredients when they are available. The house is always busy with someone doing something, whether it’s frying or labeling. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we are used to it. We don’t have a website or a social media page. We just focus on making the snacks and getting them sold in the local markets. It’s a very basic and honest way to make a living in a place like Lasanapur.
