Mountainlamp'S Tea Private Limited

We started Mountainlamp'S Tea Private Limited over at Shop No 8 in Kamal Residency. We are located right at Tukaram Chowk in Akola. It’s a busy little corner of the city. We share the space with Sau Usha Wankhade. It is not a huge tea shop, just a simple place where we manage our tea business. We spend a lot of time looking at different tea leaves and talking to farmers. The air in the shop usually smells like dried leaves, which is nice. We aren't trying to be some massive international brand. We just like tea and wanted to make a business out of it. Akola is a good place to be because people here really appreciate a good cup of tea. We have a few shelves for our stock and a small desk where we do the accounts. It’s a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives and we have bags of tea everywhere. Sometimes the fans don't work as well as they should in the heat, but we make do with what we have. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just show people what we have and let them decide for themselves. It’s a slow process building a business like this, but we aren't in a hurry. We just want to make sure the tea we sell is the same quality we would drink ourselves at home. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
