Confederation For Convergence In Rural Development

Our office is situated in Murtizapur, which is in the Akola district. We are in Ward Number 2, at house number 59 in Pratik Nagar. It’s actually the house of Mangesh Nakat, and we use a portion of it for our rural development work. Being in a residential house makes it feel very grounded. We aren't in a big city skyscraper; we are right here in the neighborhood where we can see what’s happening. The space is simple—a few chairs, some tables, and plenty of files related to the projects we are working on. Because we focus on rural areas, we are often out on the road, so the office might be empty for a day or two at a time. When we are here, there’s a lot of talking and planning. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from word of mouth and just being present in the community. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, which is common around here, so we just sit outside or work by the light from the windows. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don't worry too much about having everything look perfect. As long as the work gets done and we are helping people, that’s what matters to us. It’s a bit dusty and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s home for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next task at hand.
