I’ve been doing photography here in Sawara for quite some time now. Manchanpur is a small place, so word gets around when someone needs a photo taken. My studio is just a simple room with some backdrops and my camera gear. I go out a lot to different spots in the Akot district for weddings or family events. It’s not like those big city studios with fancy lights and assistants. It’s usually just me and my camera. I spend a lot of time looking at photos on my computer and trying to get the colors right. The village life is quiet, which gives me time to think about my work. People come to me for passport photos or for special occasions like birthdays and festivals. I have a few old cameras sitting on a shelf that don't work anymore, but I like looking at them. The walls are covered with portraits of local families I have captured over the years. Sometimes the kids come in just to see the equipment. It’s a humble setup, but it works for what we need here in Sawara. I take my bike to go to different assignments around the Taluka. The roads can be a bit rough, but the scenery is good for pictures. I don't use much fancy software, just the basics to make sure everyone looks their best. It’s a job I enjoy because I get to see the happy moments in our community and give people something to keep.
