Advantek Associates Llp operates out of a space at Hotel Alankar on Gandhi Road. It might seem a bit unusual to be in a hotel, but it works well for us since everyone in the area knows where it is. Gandhi Road is always humming with activity, cars honking, and people going about their business. We’ve got a couple of rooms set up for our office needs. It’s not a huge setup, but we have enough space for our desks and the equipment we use every day. The carpet is a bit worn in places and the lighting is that typical office yellow, but it gets the job done. Being central means we can walk to most places if we need to pick up supplies or meet someone for a quick tea. There’s a constant flow of people coming in and out of the hotel, so there’s a certain energy to the place that you don't get in a regular office block. We don’t have a fancy lobby of our own; we just use the space we have as best as we can. Most of the furniture is stuff we’ve gathered over the years, so nothing really matches, but it’s comfortable enough for a full day’s work. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. As long as the internet works and the chai is hot, we’re pretty much set to handle whatever comes our way. It is just a basic place for business.
