Vishnu Medical Hall (Tour & Travels) is on Beawar Road. It might seem a bit strange to see a medical hall and a travel office in the same place, but that’s how we do it here. We are situated right by the Police Chowki, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. Ajmer can be a confusing city if you don’t know your way around, but our spot is pretty easy to spot once you get on the right road. The 305001 area is always humming with people. Inside the shop, we have the medicine side and then the part where we handle the tours and travels. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when there are several customers at once. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background or just the sound of the fans. It’s a family-run kind of thing and we don’t put on any airs. We just sit at the counter and help whoever walks in. Sometimes someone needs a prescription and the next person wants to book a bus ticket to a nearby town. We handle it all as it comes. The walls are a bit plain and we have stacks of ledgers and notebooks everywhere. Being near the police chowki means there is always something happening outside. We’ve been at this Beawar Road location for a long time now. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we know most of the people who walk past our door.
