You can find us out on Nasirabad Road in the Adarsh Nagar area. We have been here for a good amount of time, surrounded by wood shavings and the smell of polish. The shop is full of chairs, tables, and beds that we’ve put together. It gets a bit dusty because the road outside is quite busy with trucks and cars heading out of Ajmer. We usually have a few pieces sitting out front so people can see what we have. It’s not a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s more of a workshop where you can see things being made. People from the local neighborhoods come by when they are moving house or need something new for their living room. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about what kind of wood they like. Sometimes we are busy loading up a tempo for a delivery, and other times we are just sanding down a new tabletop. My hands are usually a bit rough from the work, but that’s just how it is in the furniture business. We take things one day at a time. If someone needs a simple stool or a whole set of cupboards, we just get to work on it. It’s a local business, run by local people who know how to handle a hammer and saw. There is always something to do and we like keeping our hands busy with the wood.
