Sonu Monu Store

Sonu Monu Store is situated at number 12 in Shastri Nagar, right along Lohagal Road. It is a typical local shop that has a bit of everything you might need for the house. We have been here since the time when there weren't as many houses around this part of Lohagal Road. Now, the area is much more crowded. We sell groceries, toiletries, and some snacks. It’s the kind of place where kids come in after school to buy candy or a cold drink. The shelves are packed pretty tight, so you have to be careful not to knock things over. We don't have a computer for billing; we still use a pen and paper mostly, or just remember the prices. It works fine for us. My brother and I run the place together, hence the name. We take turns sitting at the counter. The morning rush is the busiest time when people realize they ran out of milk or bread. In the afternoon, it gets a bit quiet, and we catch up on restocking the items. Shastri Nagar is a good community, and we know almost everyone who walks through the door. We don't try to be anything special, just a reliable spot to get your daily items. It’s a simple life, and we are happy to be part of this neighborhood for all these years.
