You can find us on the Ajmer Makrana Road. It’s a long stretch of road and there are plenty of others doing what we do. We try to keep our yard organized, but with the blocks coming in, it gets messy fast. The road outside is always full of heavy vehicles, so it can be a bit of a headache to get in and out sometimes. We spend the day moving slabs around and checking for cracks. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. The office is just a place to sit when the sun gets too bright. We have some old wooden desks and a computer that’s seen better days. Most of our regulars are local builders or people fixing up their own houses. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics. We just tell people what the stone is and where it came from. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh with the drivers while they wait for their paperwork. It’s a simple life. We close up when it gets dark and start again the next morning. There’s no secret to it, just showing up and doing the work. The dust is something you just live with after a while. We’ve been on this road for a long time and we know most of the other owners around here. We just try to keep things simple and get the orders out.
