Shree Cement Ltd,Beawar

Our workspace is tucked away with the Sharma Pisai Kendra on Street Number 2 in Kishangunj. It is a busy little part of Beawar. Most people around here know the place because of the flour mill machines that hum all day long. Rajender Sharma is usually around the premises. We share the space with him, which makes for a lively atmosphere most mornings. You get used to the smell of fresh grain and the fine white dust that seems to settle on everything, including our ledgers and the window sills. The street outside is quite narrow. There’s always a bit of a squeeze when a cart or a small truck tries to pass through. Inside, we have a couple of plain desks and some metal cupboards for our logs and records. It isn’t the kind of place with air conditioning or fancy carpets on the floor. A ceiling fan that wobbles a bit keeps us cool, along with a few plastic chairs for when someone comes in to talk about a delivery. Being in the heart of Kishangunj means we are never far from what’s happening in town. Lunch usually comes from one of the nearby stalls, and we eat right at our desks while we work. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment for us. No one spends money on decorating or trying to look bigger than we are. The focus remains on the cement orders and making sure the numbers add up at the end of every single week.
