Satyam Confectioner & Cold Corner

You can find Satyam Confectioner & Cold Corner at number 184 on the Pahadganj Diggi Baazar Road. We have been serving the area for some time now. It’s a place where you can get something sweet or a cold drink when it’s hot outside. We have a couple of refrigerators that hum quite loudly all day long. Sometimes they leak a little water on the floor, so we have to keep a mop handy. The glass cases are filled with various snacks and candies that kids like. It’s not a very big shop, and the seating is just a couple of plastic stools if you want to stay for a minute. The walls are painted a pale blue, though it’s starting to fade near the door. We get a lot of students and workers who want a quick break. It gets pretty hectic in the afternoons when everyone is looking for something cold. I usually work the counter myself, and my son helps out in the evenings. We don't have a menu or anything like that; everything is just there on the shelves to see. We just try to keep the drinks cold and the snacks fresh for the people who stop in. It’s a simple business and we like the people who come by. The road outside is always loud with scooters and horns, but we are used to it.
