Sai Kripa Confectioners Jeneral & Confectioners Store is over at Padaw Pansa Market 33. It’s a long name for a shop that basically sells snacks and daily items. We have the glass jars filled with different candies and biscuits right at the front so the kids see them first. The market is always crowded, especially on the weekends, and our shop gets a lot of that foot traffic. We sell a lot of small things like chips and cold drinks, but we also have general items that people need for their kitchens. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so I have to use a small wooden stool to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a bit dusty because the market road is always under some kind of repair. We don't have a big staff, just us family members taking turns. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us a cup while we wait for customers. It’s a noisy spot with all the vendors yelling their prices, but it feels alive. We’ve been at this location for a good while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We just keep the door open from morning till late evening. It's nothing special, just a place to buy your groceries and maybe a treat for the ride home. There is a small radio we keep on the shelf that plays old songs. It helps pass the time when the afternoon gets quiet and the heat makes everyone stay indoors.
