Our place is over in the Bichhwal Industrial Area at E-66. Rasrasna Foods Pvt. Ltd. is a food business, so it usually smells like ingredients and spices around here. Inside the building, everyone has to wear hairnets and aprons. It gets a bit uncomfortable when the weather is hot, but it is necessary for the work we do. The mixing and packing machines take up almost all the space on the floor. We have a loading dock where the delivery vans pull up every morning. It is a busy routine of checking bags, weighing things, and making sure all the seals are tight. We do not have a big corporate office. There is just a small room with a desk and some old filing cabinets near the front door. The floor is cleaned constantly because you cannot have crumbs or dust lying around in a place that makes food. Many of the staff members have been here for a long time. We know each other well and sometimes share meals during the breaks. We do not make big claims about our business. We just make the products and send them out to the local shops. Sometimes a machine jams up and we have to stop everything to fix it. That is just part of a normal day. We focus on getting the orders ready for the drivers so they can get on the road. It is a lot of manual work and watching the clock.
