Rajasthani Bandhej Saree Emporium

We are located in Naya Bazar, and the name of our place is Rajasthani Bandhej Saree Emporium. Naya Bazar is a place where you can find almost anything if you look long enough. Our shop focuses on the Bandhej style which is what we grew up with. It’s a lot of bright colors and patterns. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have some shelves and a big counter where we spread out the fabric. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes when we are busy, but we know where everything is. People come to Naya Bazar from all over, so we see a lot of different faces. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing department. It is just a few of us making sure the shop stays open and the customers are looked after. The morning starts with sweeping the front and getting the tea ready. Then the day just goes by with people coming in and out. Sometimes we stay open late if there’s a festival coming up. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just sell sarees. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. Naya Bazar can be noisy and the streets are narrow, but it feels like home to us. That is basically the story of our shop.
