You can find us in Naya Bazar at Kharwa House. We are right outside the Union Bank, so there are always people coming and going for their banking needs. We do general trading, which means we handle a bit of everything depending on the week. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we pile up the crates. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or talking to people who stop by while they’re waiting for the bank to open. The building is old and has that specific smell of aged wood and paper. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road and there's a bit of a mess with the traffic, but that's just part of being in Naya Bazar. We don't have any fancy brochures. If someone wants to know what we have, they just have to ask. We try to stay organized but things get cluttered when a new shipment arrives. It’s practical work. We check the invoices, move the goods, and make sure the count is right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. We just do our bit and keep the business running. We usually close up once the sun is gone.
