R K Paints & Texture

You can find us over at the Parvatpura Bypass, specifically in the Reco area. R K Paints & Texture is situated right near the Power House and just across from the Ayappa Mandir. It’s a dusty part of the road, and the trucks going by tend to kick up a lot of grit. We spend a lot of our time dealing with different types of textures and paint finishes. The shop floor is usually stained with various colors because we’re always testing things out or mixing something up for a visitor. It’s not a quiet place by any means. Between the traffic and the noise from the power house, it’s always got some sound going on. We don't have a lot of formal rules. We just come in, check what needs doing, and start working on the orders. Sometimes someone will stop by after visiting the mandir just to see what kind of new textures we’ve got. We show them the samples we’ve made on the back wall. They aren't always perfect, but they show what the product actually looks like. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying buckets and moving heavy sacks around. We don’t try to make it sound like anything other than what it is. We sell paint and texture materials, and we do it right here on the bypass. It's hot work during the summer, but we keep at it.
