About Prakash Photo Frame & Gift House – Gifts in Ajmer
Down at Gangouri Chowk in Pisangan, that’s where you’ll see Prakash Photo Frame & Gift House. We do a lot of framing here, so there is usually some sawdust on the floor by the end of the day. We have stacks of wood and glass leaning against the back wall. People bring in photos of their families or wedding pictures, and we find a frame that fits. Besides the frames, we have a section for gifts, mostly things like clocks and small statues that look good on a shelf. The shop is a bit narrow, so we have to be smart about where we put things. We’ve been at this for quite a while now. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the glue and the wood, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have any fancy machines; we do most of the cutting and fitting by hand. It takes a little longer, but people don’t seem to mind waiting a bit. In the mornings, it’s usually just the sound of the radio and the hammer. We get a lot of locals who come in just to see what’s new or to get a glass replaced in an old frame. We don't really do any marketing. Our sign is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. It’s a quiet life here in Pisangan, and we like it just fine the way it is.
