Perfect Gift Shop

You can find us at 21 Shastri Nagar on Lohagal Road. Perfect Gift Shop is what we called it, though it’s just a normal little store. We are tucked away near some other local businesses, so it’s a nice community feel. The shop has these big glass windows that look out onto the road. We spend quite a bit of time cleaning fingerprints off the glass because children like to lean against it. Inside, there are shelves filled with glassware, some plastic toys, and a bunch of decorative items. We don't follow any particular theme. If we see something we think is okay, we put it on the shelf. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, which makes it feel cozy in the evenings. We usually open up around ten and stay until the sun down and the street lights come on. A lot of students from the nearby schools come in to look at the stationery and small trinkets. We try to keep prices fair because we know most people around here are working hard for their money. We don’t have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in a big ledger book. Sometimes we lose the pen, and it takes a minute to find it. It’s a very manual way of doing things, but it works for us. We’re just happy to be part of the street and see everyone passing by as the years go on and things change around us.
