About Mukesh Namkeen Store – Food & Beverages in Ajmer
Our little shop sits right on Dhola Bhata Road. It’s a busy street and there’s always dust flying around from the traffic. I started this place because I wanted to sell the kind of snacks people actually like to eat with their tea. Most days, I’m busy weighing out bags of different namkeens and sealing them up. We have the spicy ones and the plain ones too. It smells like fried dough and spices in here most of the time, which I guess is better than the exhaust fumes from outside. The counters are a bit worn down from people leaning on them while they decide what to buy. I usually have a few big tins open so people can see what’s fresh today. It isn't a big operation. Just a simple counter and some shelves stacked high with packets. Sometimes the supply of certain lentils or spices gets tight, so we sell what we have. People from around the neighborhood stop in on their way home from work. It gets a bit hectic around five or six in the evening. I don't really have a big sign or anything, just the name above the door. If you live around Dhola Bhatta, you probably know where we are. It’s a straightforward business. We just pack the bags and hand them over. I try to keep things clean, but with the road right there, it’s a constant battle. Just a regular spot for your evening snacks.
