Our place is located in the Industrial Estate over in Makhupura. If you know Ajmer, you know it can get really hot during the summer months, and the shed here at Toshniwal Industries Pvt. Ltd. definitely feels it. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. The estate is packed with different workshops, so there is always some kind of humming or clanking sound in the background. We have a small office area near the front gate, but most of the action happens in the back. The walls are painted a standard grey, and we’ve got some old desks that have been with us since the start. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but being in Makhupura makes sense for the type of work we handle. Sometimes the mail takes an extra day to reach us out here, but we don’t mind much. We have a few trees planted near the entrance to catch some shade, though they don’t do much against the Rajasthan sun. Most of our neighbors are in similar lines of work, so we often lend each other tools or a hand when someone’s truck gets stuck. It’s a quiet routine for the most part. Toshniwal Industries Pvt. Ltd. isn’t trying to be anything fancy. We just keep the machines running and make sure the paperwork stays in order. It feels like a second home to many of us who spend ten hours a day here, even with the flickering lights and noisy fans.
