Jhunjhar Welfare Foundation

Jhunjhar Welfare Foundation is located at Madhu Devi’s place in the Kotra area of Ajmer. We are quite close to the Mehndipur Balaji spot, so there are always pilgrims and travelers passing by. It’s a very active part of town with lots of shops and noise. We started this foundation because we wanted to have a place where locals could come for help without having to go all the way to the big government offices in the city center. Our office is just a small space in the house. It has a fan that clicks and a few chairs for visitors. We don't have any formal training in running a foundation; we just learned as we went along. Most of our work involves helping people with their daily problems, like getting their IDs made or finding out about local programs. Since we are in Kotra, we know most of the families who live on our street. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time talking. Sometimes it feels like we aren't doing much, but then someone says thank you and it feels worth it. We don't have any marketing or brochures. If someone needs us, they just ask for Madhu Devi’s house near the temple. We just try to be good neighbors and do what’s right for the community.
