Jethanand Cap Center

Jethanand Cap Center is right in the middle of Dargah Bazar, near the Dhan Mandi section. It’s a very active part of town because of all the pilgrims and visitors going to the Dargah. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of caps into the space. We’ve been here for many years, so we’ve seen the bazar change quite a bit over time. Most of our day is spent helping people pick out the right size or style. It’s a very hands-on job. The street outside is always narrow and packed with people, so there’s a lot of energy around us all the time. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just a simple shop where we do our work. We usually open up early and the two of us handle everything from sales to cleaning. Sometimes we sit on the small stools outside and watch the crowds when it’s a bit slow. We don't really do any advertising; people usually just find us while they are walking through the market. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, and we are happy with that. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything; we just like being part of this community and serving the people who visit the bazar every day.
