Jaswant Novelty Store

Jaswant Novelty Store is right in the Main Market of Nala Bazar. This is probably one of the busiest spots you could pick for a shop. From the moment we open the doors, there is a constant stream of people walking by. We have been here long enough that we don't even notice the noise anymore. The shop is filled with all sorts of small goods and novelties that catch people's eyes as they walk through the market. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations inside. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we use a small ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It is a bit of a workout every day. The floor is made of old stone that has been worn smooth by years of people walking on it. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background, mostly just for some company during the slower hours. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We know their names and what they usually look for. We don't try to push people to buy things they don't need. If we have it, we show it to them, and that is it. It is a very honest way to run a shop. We enjoy being in the heart of the market where everything is happening. It keeps us busy and connected to the city.
