I.C.U.C. Gears

I.C.U.C. Gears is tucked away in Phase-3 of the Riico Industrial Area in Madangarh. It’s one of those places that’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it, surrounded by other workshops and small factories. We’ve been making gears here for quite some time. It’s a niche thing, I suppose, but everything needs gears to move properly. Our shop is filled with the smell of oil and the sound of cutting metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt. We’ve got a few old machines that still run like a dream and some newer ones we’ve added over the years. The staff is mostly local guys who’ve learned the trade on the job. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones in a professional voice. Usually, the phone rings and whoever is closest picks it up with their hands still covered in grease. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and trying to get the teeth on the gears just right so they don't grind or fail. Some days go better than others. If a machine breaks down, the whole day gets slowed down while we fix it. But that’s the reality of a machine shop in an industrial zone. We just focus on making sure the gears we send out are solid and do what they’re supposed to do for our customers.
