This place is located in Kekri, right behind the police station. It is a busy spot because we are also quite near the bus stand. You can always hear the buses pulling in and out and the conductors shouting. Our family has been around the Ajmer district for a long time. Being in Tehsil Kekri, we see a lot of people traveling from the nearby villages. The post office is right here too, so there is always someone walking past. We focus on beverages, which keeps us busy when the Rajasthan sun is really beating down. People come in thirsty after a long bus ride. We spend a lot of time moving crates around and making sure the bottles are where they belong. It is not an easy job, especially when it gets crowded in the afternoons. The shop is small but it serves the purpose. We do not use any big machines or fancy computers, just a pen and a notebook to keep track of things. Sometimes the police officers from the station behind us come by for a drink. It is a simple life here in Kekri. We open up, handle the stock, and close when the street gets quiet at night. There is always dust from the road, but that is just how it is living near a bus stand. We are just a local business trying to keep things going day by day in this part of Ajmer.
