If you are looking for us, we are right there in Beawar Pali Bazar. It is a busy spot, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. The shop, Gupta Photo, has been around for some time and we have seen a lot of changes in the market over the years. We spend a lot of our time behind the counter or back in the small space where we do the prints. It is mostly passport photos and people coming in with their phones wanting to get a few physical copies of pictures they took on vacation. We have the cameras set up and the lights, though sometimes the bulbs need changing at the worst times. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once, but we manage. The bazaar is noisy, but it’s a good place to be. We usually open up early to catch the morning crowd before it gets too hot outside. There is always something to do, whether it’s cleaning the lenses or sorting through the paper stock we keep in the back. Sometimes people just stop in to chat about old cameras or ask for advice on how to take better shots. We don’t have anything too fancy, just the basic equipment that works well enough for what we need to do for the locals here in Beawar.
