Gangour Saree Palace

Our shop is tucked away in the Chander Parbhu Complex, right in the B 16-17 area. Being near the Subji Mandi in Kishangarh means there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. Gangour Saree Palace is just a local spot where we sell all sorts of sarees. It’s not a huge place, but we make use of the space we have. Most mornings start with us opening the shutters and sweeping the front. It gets dusty being so close to the market. We have piles of different colors everywhere. Sometimes customers stay for an hour just looking at different fabrics. We don't mind. It's part of the job. People come here because they know we are right in the middle of things. Kishangarh is a busy place, and the complex can get a bit confusing if you aren't used to it. We've been in these units for a while now. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others helping out. We don't have a big staff. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with whatever is in demand. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually keep the door halfway shut to stay cool. It’s a plain shop, nothing special to look at from the outside, but we have what people need. We usually take a short break in the afternoon when it gets really quiet and then stay open until late.
