First Step School

If you know the Vaishali Nagar area in Ajmer, you probably know Makarwali Road. We are right there in G-Block, specifically at G-2. It’s a busy part of town, which I actually quite like. There is always something going on outside our windows. First Step School is a place that feels very local. We know most of the parents by name, and we see them at the market or the temple. The school itself is tucked into the block, making it feel a bit like a home that turned into a school over time. It’s got that cozy, slightly cramped feel that comes with being in a popular residential area. The mornings are the loudest time, with scooters and cars pulling up and kids running toward the entrance. Once everyone is inside, it settles down into a steady hum of reading and writing. We have a small staff, and we all wear many hats. One minute I might be talking to a parent about a fee, and the next I’m helping move a cupboard. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word usually spreads through the neighbors. Ajmer is a place where people talk, so if you do a decent job, people find out. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day-to-day work in the 305001 area. It is hard work sometimes, but it feels right for us.
