We are over here on Nasirabad Road in the Laxmi Kanwar building. It’s right across from the ICICI Bank in Adarsh Nagar, so we see a lot of people coming and going all day. The office is usually quite busy with people from the neighborhood stopping in to check on their small savings or ask about how things work with the Nidhi setup. We spend a lot of our time looking at paperwork and keeping the ledgers updated. It isn't a fancy place, just some desks and chairs where we sit and talk to the members. Ajmer gets really hot in the summer months, so we keep the fans running high while we go through the files. Most of our members are local folks who live nearby or have shops in the market. We've been at this address for a while now and most people around here know where to find us. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but inside we just focus on the work at hand. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure everything is recorded properly. Sometimes people come in just to escape the sun for a minute and chat while they wait for their documents to be processed. That is just how it goes here in Ajmer. We keep the doors open and try to get through the daily tasks before the sun goes down.
