Our shop is right there opposite the Town Hall near Madar Gate. It’s a crowded part of town, always plenty of noise and people walking by. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, passed down through the years. We handle all sorts of trade here, mostly sticking to what we know. The building is old, with high ceilings and those narrow stairs that everyone has to be careful on. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us sitting at the desks, handling the paperwork and talking to the folks who come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with the doors open to catch a breeze from the street. Madar Gate has a lot of history, and we feel like we’re just a small part of that. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep things moving and make sure our customers are looked after. It gets dusty being so close to the main road, but that’s just how it is in this part of the city. We open early in the morning before the heat gets too bad and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a steady life and we know the neighbors well.
