Kishangarh is always busy, especially on Harmara Road where we are. Our spot is at 18/B/C in Madanganj. If you’ve been down this way, you know it’s mostly industrial stuff. There is always a truck being loaded or unloaded somewhere nearby. Our workshop is pretty much what you’d expect for an industrial area. There’s a lot of metal, some tools lying around, and it can get pretty dusty by the afternoon. We start our shift before the sun gets too high because the heat inside the shed can be rough in the summer. We mostly just focus on getting the orders ready. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a fancy lobby or nice chairs. We have a few desks in the corner for the billing and that’s about it. The crew has been together for a few years, so we all know how to stay out of each other's way. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here. You learn to work around the delays. People stop by to check on things and we just show them what we’re working on. No big speeches or presentations. Just showing the actual work. It’s a practical way to spend the day and we have been here long enough that we don't think about it much.
