Zuali Construction Private Limited is located over in Durtlang, which is in the Aizawl district. We’re set up care of Lalmalsawma. Durtlang is high up and has some of the best views, but it’s also a challenging place to build anything. We spend most of our time out on sites, dealing with the local soil and the steep slopes. Our business isn’t about being flashy. We have a small office where we handle the bills and the paperwork, but that’s about it. Most of our life is spent in boots and hats, working under the sun or trying to avoid the rain. Construction in Aizawl is a slow process sometimes because of the geography. We’ve been working around here for a while and we know the quirks of the area. We have a regular crew that knows how we like things done. We don't do much advertising; usually, people just see our trucks or our guys working and ask for a contact. It’s a very local way of doing things. We’re just regular people working in the community. Sometimes things don’t go perfectly, like a delivery getting delayed or a machine acting up, but we always find a way to fix it. That’s just how it is in this trade. We like being in Durtlang and plan to stay here. It's a tight-knit community, and we try to do right by everyone. The office door is usually open during the day to let the breeze in. It gets the job done.
