Our operations are currently running out of Aizawl in Mizoram, and you can find us care of Mr. Siyaram Singh. Working in the hills is a lot different than working in the plains. The terrain here is steep and the weather can be really unpredictable, with heavy rains that sometimes slow things down. We are involved with cement and structural work, which is a tough business in this part of the country. Everything we do depends on the roads being clear and the materials arriving on time. Our office space is simple and functional because we spend a lot of our time out at the actual sites. We have to deal with the logistics of moving heavy stuff up and down the winding roads of Aizawl, which is never an easy task. It is a small team here, and we all have to pitch in with everything from site supervision to the basic paperwork. We do not have any big corporate slogans; we just try to keep the projects moving forward despite the landslides or the rain. It is a practical life, and we have gotten used to the pace of things in Mizoram. We just focus on the structures we are building and make sure the cement is handled properly in this damp climate. Most of our days are spent in boots rather than dress shoes.
