Mafeli Tours & Travel

Dawrpui is usually crowded, especially being so close to the Millennium Centre. Our office, Mafeli Tours & Travel, is tucked into the Mu P Building. It is a place where we do a lot of waiting for calls and checking schedules on the computer. Aizawl is a hilly place, so getting around takes time, and that is what we deal with every day. We aren't a big corporation, just a few of us working together in this room. The desks are a bit cluttered with notebooks and pens. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out. It is part of living here. We talk to people about where they want to go and try to find the right bus or car for them. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or talking to drivers. It is a practical business. We don't have a big lobby or fancy furniture. Just some chairs for people to sit on while we check the availability. Outside, you can hear the noise from the street and the people heading to the mall. We like being in the center of things. It makes it easier for people to find us when they are out doing their shopping. We keep it simple. There is always a lot to do, especially during the holiday seasons when everyone wants to move around. We just do our work and go home.
