KHIANGTE CONSTRUCTION PRIVATE LIMITED

The office is located at Mission Vengthlang, right at F. Lalrova's place. We have been working in the construction line for some time now around the Aizawl area. It is a family-oriented kind of setup, not like those big companies you see in the newspapers. We mostly handle local building projects for people in the community. Aizawl is always tricky for construction because of the steep hills and the very narrow roads, so getting materials like sand and cement to the actual site is always a bit of a mission. Our crew is made up of people from the neighborhood who know how to work the land here and do not mind the climbing. We do not really do any big advertisements; people usually just hear about us through their friends or family. Most of our days are spent on the site, making sure the concrete is poured right and the walls are straight. It gets very loud and dusty, but that is just part of the everyday job. We have to deal with the monsoon season which usually slows everything down for a few months every year. During that time, we mostly just do planning and wait for the rain to finally stop so we can get back to the sites. It is a simple business, really. We just show up and do the work and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad.
