Film Producer

Being a Film Producer here in Aizawl keeps things interesting. My office is located at Ramhlun North Industry Peng, right at the address 796001. It’s a bit of a climb depending on where you are coming from. The area around Ramhlun North is usually active during the day. Inside the space, there are a lot of cables and some old monitors sitting around. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but it works for what we do. Dealing with films involves a lot of sitting and looking at screens for hours. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in Mizoram, so we just wait it out. The Industry Peng area has its own vibe, kind of industrial but also local. You can hear neighbors talking or cars passing by most of the time. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just trying to figure out schedules. It’s not like the movies make it look; it’s mostly just paperwork and coordination. There’s a small desk where I sit and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. The 796001 pincode is what people usually look for when sending mail. It’s a quiet enough spot when the windows are shut. I’ve been here for a bit and the walls are starting to show some wear. It’s just a normal workspace for producing stuff. I keep some tea things in the corner for when the days get long. Usually, I have a window open to let some fresh air in.
